The lotus, or 'Padma' in Sanskrit, is a sacred symbol in Indian culture, representing purity and resilience. The 'Crystalline Padma' project reinterprets this identity through a man-made steel structure, inspired by the Bhagavad Gita's metaphor of the lotus thriving in muddy waters. Designed to engage visitors, it features a lotus pond, central congregation space, spiral staircase, and twelve petals with seating areas. The design incorporates three symbolic elements: aesthetic symbolism, a life-representing lotus pond, and laser-cut lotus patterns on the steel surface, creating captivating shadows.
