// ITECH24 Timber-NFPC Hybridity pavilion

The aim was to explore the design space of timber-fiber hybrid systems, considering material integration, structural performance and architectural functions. This research pavilion in K1, Uni Stuttgart is a 1:1 demonstrator of the developed system that serves to investigate and evaluate system performance and construction feasibility. As a research demonstrator, the pavilion represents a step toward a new bio-material culture that combines the strength of timber with that of natural fibers into a integrated structural system. By leveraging the complementary properties of the two materials, the research attempts to address sustainable construction solutions and further expand design possibilities.
